Mary Todd Lincoln would make this White Cake for Abe. He said it was his most favorite cake. She made it in the White House, she made it to woo him. The cake is kind of a dairy and egg bomb so I veganized it.

I used 3/4 cup vanilla soy yogurt to mix with the sugar instead of the butter.

1 cup soy milk

1/3 cup canola oil just mixed in there to keep it moist.

kind of just ditched the egg whites.

Let’s face it – Lincoln would totally be a vegan today and this is how he would eat it.

So, do what you want. There’s so much to work with here – The Gettysburg Address, having a cool beard, top hats, slavery , the Civil War, compassion, some people say that he was gay and then other people say that he wasn’t.You know all about him, you love him.
