Hamburger Cupcakes › Stevie-Lynn

I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to try out this hamburger cupcake idea I came across. Nothin’ but white cake, choco cake, and frosting. How about that? Up close they look just like the fatty burgers you are familiar with! Special thanks to Dan McCool for gnawing on all that frosting.

Mary Todd Lincoln’s White Cake › Jen May

Mary Todd Lincoln would make this White Cake for Abe. He said it was his most favorite cake. She made it in the White House, she made it to woo him. The cake is kind of a dairy and egg bomb so I veganized it.

The recipe is linked above.

I used 3/4 cup vanilla soy yogurt to mix with the sugar instead of the butter.

1 cup soy milk

1/3 cup canola oil just mixed in there to keep it moist.

kind of just ditched the egg whites.

Let’s face it – Lincoln would totally be a vegan today and this is how he would eat it.
